About Chiari Medicine

Chiari Medicine was established in 2012 as a forum for healthcare professionals. It's mission is to increase the understanding of the Chiari malformations, syringomyelia, and related disorders.

While MRI allows earlier recognition of the Chiari malformation and syringomyelia, many affected people still suffer for years prior to diagnosis. In addition, there is a lack of consensus on the factors to consider in making a diagnosis, on assessing possible associated conditions, and on the best treatment options.

Chiari Medicine will focus on the latest research, will review the current knowledge, and, with your participation, will serve as a forum to discuss and improve the diagnosis and management of these frequently hidden neurological disorders.

By working together we can build a professional Chiari & syringomyelia community for the benefit of those affected.
